Life is about change. And sometimes life hands us just the opportunity we need to turn certain chain of events around in our favor. In my case it was a career change from a corporate professional, where in hindsight, the daily tasks at hand were fast becoming, boring, unrewarding and unchallenging. So faced with an opportunity, I chose to get back to what I know and love and that is working with animals. In June of 2007, I enrolled at Canine Clippers School of Pet Grooming, in Dumfries, Virginia and graduated in September of 2007. In October 2007 I created Love the Dog! mobile dog and cat grooming salon, and the rest is history! It is funny though, as much as I wanted to abandon the paralegal field, I have come to find out how those paralegal skills are still with me today and I haven’t changed that much. I still am a stickler for attention to detail, but just now applying it to our 4 legged friends! Now that is what I call a Beautiful Change!

Love the Dog! LLC is owned and operated by Linda Brown. Linda has a deep love and compassion for animals and has had horses, dogs and cats most of her life. Born and raised in New York, she relocated to the Washington, DC area where she worked as a senior-level corporate and securities paralegal for almost 20 years. Linda decided to change her direction and pursue her passion for working with animals. Linda graduated from the Canine Clippers School of Pet Grooming in Dumfries, Virginia upon completion of their intensive training course. Because of her exceptional skills at handling and caring for both large and small animals, and her keen attention to detail, Linda excelled in grooming school and knew she was on the fast track to success. It didn't take Linda long to realize that her road to fulfillment and happiness lay behind the wheel of a mobile grooming salon. Linda is a professional dog and cat groomer/stylist and is certified by the National Dog Groomers Association of America. She currently is certified in the non-sporting and terrier groups and is studying to become a national certified master groomer.
