“Murphy”
Murphy came to us because he lived next door. Really his family did not want him and he knew it. We would find him sleeping on our front porch, or on the back deck. He would follow me and my other dogs on our hikes. One day the owner came over and asked if we wanted Murphy. I was reluctant because he chased our barn cats but soon gave in because he was really sweet. Murphy is part of the reason why I went to dog grooming school. One day I decided to give Murphy a shave down with a 10 blade; oh boy. Poor thing got a little sun burned. I realized I needed how to groom him properly. Murphy stayed with us for about 5 years until diabetes got the better of him. Sweet boy.
